It is normal to want to have familiar points of reference in your life, whether it be sticking to a routine or finding your bearings in your day-to-day work.
But sometimes you are thrust in situations where change is inevitable. How then can you overcome your natural aversion to change?
"Ask yourself what you would do if you wanted change to work."
"When I catch myself in these situations, I acknowledge what is creating resistance and then challenge myself to identify what I would do if I wanted this change to work. The hardest part is often identifying when I am resisting and name it as such. Once I name it, it becomes much easier for me to switch perspectives and identify what could make it work for me."
