It is normal to want to have familiar points of reference in your life, whether it be sticking to a routine or finding your bearings in your day-to-day work.

But sometimes you are thrust in situations where change is inevitable. How then can you overcome your natural aversion to change?

Steffan answers:

"Ask yourself what you would do if you wanted change to work."

"When I catch myself in these situations, I acknowledge what is creating resistance and then challenge myself to identify what I would do if I wanted this change to work.
