Getting people interested in your services can be a tricky affair. Push a little too much, and they may be scared away. Not hard enough and you won't be top of mind when they are in need.

There are no hard and fast answers, but there are some things you can do to get them to think of you when the time comes. What are some ways to encourage a client to take the next step?

Steffan answers:

"Provide Value And Treat Them As Partners"

"When I speak with clients in a business development context, I take the time to listen to their needs and I share with them whatever idea crops up that could be useful to them, even if it is just a book recommendation.
